Climate change is affecting everyone, it’s time to act. Get your business into shape and understand how you can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and start saving money.

Higher fuel bills in combination with more stringent mandatory reporting requirements are upon us and these will continue to have an impact on your business and your bottom line. The Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) is a mandatory carbon trading scheme affecting large public and private organisations since April 2010. The aim is to encourage energy efficiency and CO2 savings by providing a financial incentive to reduce emissions. Calculation and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions is an integral part of participation in this scheme. In addition, the Government aims to introduce mandatory reporting of greenhouse gas emissions for all UK companies in 2012 as an objective of the Climate Change Act.

The Green Business Partnership has teamed with Carbon & Environment Solutions to offer businesses the opportunity to attend an IEMA approved 1 Day workshop to help you understand how to measure and report your greenhouse gas emissions and identify ways that you can reduce emissions to save money. The workshop provides a basic understanding of the drivers for change including statutory overview, a comprehensive and practical based approach to calculating your carbon footprint, plus practical help to implement environmental change within your business.

Attendees can also benefit from a follow up assistance service provided by CES carbon and environmental specialists.
